Mrs. Voris Dies Monday
Funeral Services Are Set Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Veda Voris will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Byron Mason's Funeral Home, Pastor John C. Ramsey, Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Kibby cemetery. Mrs. Voris died Monday in Memorial hospital following a brief illness. Hazel Veda Munson was born near Kibby, on June 29, 1909. On November 17, 1927, she was married to Harold Voris. She made her home in the Kibby community until 1958 when she moved to Woodward. Survivors are two daughters, Miss Herrel Dean Voris, Pasadena, Texas, and Mrs. Harvey Hinther, Selman; two sons, C. W. Voris, Tulsa, and Joe Max Voris, Colorado Springs, and three grandchildren.

According to the marriage records and the births of the children, it appears that Isabella died sometime between 1850 and 1853.

He was born September 17, 1906. He was not registered with the U. S. Employment Service. His father was Merle Voris and mother was Annetta Brier. It was signed Roy Voris.

Obituary:LEE ROY VORIS

Lee Roy Voris, 65, a former resident of the Hoosier Haven Mobile Court, died early Sunday morning in Palm Springs General Hospital in Hialeah, Fla., where he had been a patient one month. He had been in ill health three months. Mr. Voris had been residing in Opa-Locka, Fla., since October, 1971. Born in Woodward, Okla., he was reared in Battle Ground. He resided at one time in Orleans, (Ind.), but had spent most of his lifetime in Lafayette. His marriage in 1948 was to Esther Fields in New Albany, and she survives. He was employed as a machinist at the Monon Shops for over 50 years, retiring in 1971. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges, the Brotherhood of Railway Employees and was a member and past president of the Machinists Local 181. Surviving with the widow are four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Marilyn) Senkyrik of Bay City, Tex.; Mrs. Simon (Barbara) Sotelo of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. William (Russellena) Mellinger of Dayton, Ohio, and Miss Helen R. Dawson of Lafayette, and a son, Donald of Opa-Locke, Fla. The body will be returned here for services.

VORIS, Lee Roy. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesday in Soller-Baker Funeral Home. Service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Soller-Baker Main Chapel, the Rev. D. James F. Morin officiating. Graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday at Orleans, (Ind.), 100F Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Boes officiating. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren.

Florida Death Certificate Number 72-046074. According to the Death Certificate, his residence was 300 Bypass 52 North, Lafayette, Lafayette County, Indiana. He was born in Oklahoma. He was a machinist for the Monnon Railroad. Mrs. Esther Voris provided the information. Also, Mrs. Esther Fields address was 18020 NW 48th Court, Opa Locke, FL. Mother was Anetta Brier and father was James M. Voris. He was in the Palm Springs General Hospital when he died. The attending physician was Dr. Roberto Chao, mailing address 240 NW 183rd Street, Miami, FL The funeral home was the Carl Slade Funeral Home, 1325 West 49th Street, Hialeah, FL who prepared him for removal for burial in Indiana.
